Joomla!

JanusIRC's home page has switched to the Joomla Portal. WordPress seemed low-tech compared to our other Installatron options (yes, we're noobs). Bear with us as we reconstruct the site and re-learn the website end.

If you had an account on our WordPress site, it has since been deleted; we're starting fresh. If anyone out there that might be reading this has any Joomla experience, we'd be happy to work with you in creating a fantastic website.

Networks

In other news, JanusIRC has also linked several new networks since our last update.

We're also disappointed to have to relieve Dark-Portal (dp) and CollectiveInsanity (ci) due to low usercounts. CollectiveInsanity has been shut down, but Lucashayes (CIIIRC founder) is now opering for JanusIRC.

Staff

Also welcome Talha "joker" Khan to the JanusIRC Staff. He has gladly provided assistance to our slightly understaffed network and is willing to have Janus (LinkServ) training, and perhaps push a few commits to the Janus Service.

Our second Net Admin addition to the network is grobe0ba. He gladly linked one of his servers (mars.pulpie.net) to JanusIRC (and is keeping DNS) as a Net Admin. He is also an intermediate Perl Programmer, and will possibly push a few commits to the Janus Service.

Janus Service

Janus is slowly resuming development. We recently pushed a patch for InspIRCd 2.0 Support, but it does not fully support 2.0. There are a few trivial, minor, and even less fatal bugs when linking with InspIRCd 2.0 servers, but they can all be resolved by having everyone cycle the channel(s) and/or a clean restart of Janus. If you're still interested in helping develop Janus, we're looking for intermediate-advanced Perl Programmers. (Git Repo)
